About Whitehorse City Council:

The City of Whitehorse falls within Melbourne’s network of middle ring municipalities that are generally located 20 km from Melbourne’s Central Business District.  The City of Whitehorse is located east of Melbourne’s Central Business District bounded by the City of Manningham to the north, the Cities of Maroondah and Knox to the east, the City of Monash to the south and the City of Boroondara to the west.

The Metropolitan Activity Centre of Box Hill provides significant educational, health and commercial institutions including Box Hill TAFE, Box Hill and Epworth hospitals and the Australian Taxation Office.  The MegaMile Activity Centre provides bulky goods retailing and motor vehicle sales attracting people from across the broader metropolitan areas of Melbourne.

The Eastern Freeway and East Link provide excellent connectivity between the municipality and Melbourne’s Central Business District.
